Jägermeister is a German herbal liqueur made from 56 different botanicals, including cinnamon, star anise, and gentian root. It has a strong, bitter-sweet flavour with notes of liquorice, vanilla, and dark fruit.
It is often used as a digestif, served neat or on the rocks, but is also popular in cocktails such as the Jägerbomb and the Jägermeister Manhattan. Jägermeister can be paired with dark chocolate or desserts with similar flavour profiles, such as gingerbread or pumpkin pie.
